This antique wire farm basket was likely used to gather eggs. It is very old mesh that was hand wired into a basket. The handle is wire with an early plastic handle on it. The handle may be a replacement. Someone bolted a hook on the side at some point so it can be hung. This comes fresh from an old barn in Southwestern Ohio.

This is in very good condition. The only hole in the basket is around one of the ends of the handle. There is some rust.

These old wire baskets are great for storage. This would also be really sweet for holding a floral arrangement. I have also seen people put battery operated candles in them and hang them from a branch or hook as a temporary garden chandelier.

This measures approximately 9 1/4 inches tall and 9 1/4 inches wide at its widest.
